A vision I had 6 months ago is ALIVE. I first went on the Kickstarter website this past June when a friend in Bali told me about it. "Get funding for your conscious jewelry line," he said. We met at the local hangout, Clear Cafe, and I got an entire download on the latest social media craze. Jack was living in San Francisco, working as a social media marketing guru for a lawyer, and had helped him boost his career using social media. I had unexpectedly wandered into new territory, my mind spinning, but gratefully I listened as Jack gave me all of his advice: Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Blog, Kickstarter. He may have had other ideas (I'm sure he did), but that was about the most my brain could soak up.
Here I am, 3 days into my LIVE Kickstarter project: 27 days to go.
Reaching out to friends and family. Using all of the networking tools I have studied and researched. P.R.A.Y.ing. Stopping only to eat, practice yoga, and meditate. I have inspired myself to believe in this project, to believe in myself, to believe that anything is possible. I am breathing while I wait for a show of support from the world. It is coming......Michael Franti and Colin Mathura Jeffree sent out word of P.R.A.Y. Kickstarter via twitter! !!!!! 55,000 people received the link today. THANK YOU does not express my gratitude to these two icons, along with my core friends and family, without whom I'd be dead in the water.
Whether success or failure (I think it's already a success receiving global attention), I will be sharing Kickstarter Musts, Preparation following the project. Stay tuned!
